    Overview

Okamura Shuzojo is a traditional sake brewery located in Sanda City, Hyogo Prefecture, where local sake is produced and sold.
Founded in the 22nd year of the Meiji era, it is deeply rooted in the local community and engages in sake-making with a commitment to tradition.
Access to the brewery is available via bus from JR Fukuchiyama Line's Sanda Station, with buses bound for Kogaki or Hazugawa taking about 18 and 20 minutes, respectively.
It is a 10-minute walk from the Kiki bus stop and about 3 minutes from the Tenman Shrine bus stop.
For those driving, it is approximately a 20-minute ride from both JR Sanda Station and Shin-Sanda Station, and also from the Kobe Sanda Interchange.
Since there are no seats available in the store, customers can purchase sake to take home.
The selection is particularly special because the production volume is limited, making the sake available in only a few locations such as local direct sales offices or izakayas.
As a result, many customers make the trip to enjoy their offerings.
At Okamura Shuzojo, a variety of sake is available, including the original brew of "Chidori Masamune" and the "Kinkaku" variety.
The original brew has a rich, dry flavor profile and a higher alcohol content of 18%, while the Kinkaku is known for being easy to drink and dry, making it popular among customers.
Moreover, the brewery prides itself on using locally sourced rice, ensuring high quality in its production.
Customers are often recommended to try the Junmai Daiginjo, but they can choose based on their personal preferences.
Consideration is also given to pairing with food, and combinations with Japanese tea and wagashi are recommended.
For instance, pairing with yomogi mochi creates a delightful harmony as the subtle bitterness and sweetness complement each other perfectly.
Experiences like these allow visitors to appreciate the depth and richness of Japanese culture in a unique way.
Not only does Okamura Shuzojo hold a historical background, but it is also a precious spot where one can touch upon high-quality sake and local culture.
A visit will surely provide a heartwarming moment amidst the charming atmosphere and delicious Japanese sake.
