Overview

Takenoi Shuzo is a small sake brewery located in Takane Town, Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
It is known for producing Japanese sake using the spring water from "Sanbun'ichi Yusui," which has been selected as one of Japan's top 100 natural waters.
This area, situated at the foot of the Yatsugatake Mountains, boasts a rich natural environment that contributes to the clear water used in the brewing process, along with flower yeast, creating unique and exquisite sake.
The brewery operates from Monday to Saturday from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while it is closed on Sundays.
One of the standout brands from this brewery is "Seikou" , which has gained considerable recognition.
In the production process, they strive for uniqueness by varying the types and origins of the rice used.
The sake produced here, thanks to the local techniques that thrive in a non-rice-growing region, is beloved by many.
Additionally, Takenoi Shuzo also produces fragrant rice shochu, allowing visitors to enjoy a variety of alcoholic beverages.
Among the notable products from Takenoi Shuzo is the "Junmai Daiginjo Seikou" .
This sake utilizes the Aiyama variety of rice and is crafted with a luxurious 40% rice polishing ratio.
With an alcohol content of 15-16%, it is smooth and easy to drink, yet it retains a rich umami flavor.
The sake presents a floral aroma reminiscent of melons, spreading elegantly across the palate, followed by a refreshing acidity that provides a refined finish.
Moreover, the beautiful marine blue bottle of this Junmai Daiginjo adds to its allure.
Its gentle taste makes it accessible even for those new to sake.
Their sake is often chosen for special celebrations and as gifts, receiving recognition as a premium Japanese sake.
This makes it perfect as a companion for meaningful moments and times spent with dear ones.
Be sure to visit and savor this wonderful Japanese sake.
It promises to be a delightful experience alongside its captivating flavors, as well as an opportunity to immerse oneself in the beautiful natural surroundings.
