Overview

Kogetsu is a traditional Japanese restaurant located in Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, Tokyo.
The establishment first opened its doors in 1960 and is currently run by the second-generation owner, Mr.
 Sato.
While the interior carries a hint of age, it is well-maintained and features an impressive entrance reminiscent of a Kyoto machiya (traditional townhouse).
At Kogetsu, they offer a dinner course menu.
The course includes various delicacies such as appetizers, soups, sashimi, and more, each meticulously prepared with deep flavors.
One of their signature dishes is the roasted duck loin, cooked in a rich broth and served cold.
Another popular dish is their specialty called "Iimushi.
" It is made by grilling white fish and gently mixing it with sticky rice, resulting in a chewy texture.
Each grain of rice is firm yet tender, and the dish showcases the delicate aroma of sea bream broth.
Kogetsu is known for its simple and genuine Japanese cuisine, described as "traditional with a genuine taste.
" The craftsmanship and traditional seasoning techniques are its defining features, making it a must-visit place for Japanese food enthusiasts.
