    Overview

Fujimura Shuzo is a long-established sake brewery located in Shimoichi Town, Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture, founded in 1863.
It is about 1.5 kilometers from Shimomichi-guchi Station on the Kintetsu Yoshino Line, accessible by Nara Kotsu bus.
The surrounding area is rich in nature, providing a tranquil atmosphere for visitors.
At this brewery, the owner personally visits farms to select high-quality rice, and this dedication is reflected in every bottle of sake.
The "Bandai Oumatsu Shiboritate Limited" new sake, in particular, is highly praised for its fruity aroma and soft mouthfeel.
Furthermore, this sake uses 100% of the pristine water known as "Gorogoro Water," recognized as one of Japan’s top 100 renowned waters by the Environment Agency, sourced from Mount Omine, which enhances its rich flavors.
Fujimura Shuzo continues to uphold traditional handcrafted methods passed down through generations, meticulously crafted by the toji (master brewer) and brewery staff.
The sake produced reflects the authentic umami and richness of the rice.
It can be enjoyed chilled to highlight the fruity notes or warmed slightly to experience a deeper flavor profile, offering a variety of tasting experiences.
The brewery does not have seating for on-site consumption, so visitors can purchase sake to take home.
This allows for a leisurely enjoyment at one's own pace.
It also pairs wonderfully with Japanese cuisine, particularly with hot pot dishes.
Fujimura Shuzo is cherished by many customers due to its historical background and committed brewing techniques.
It is a place that anyone interested in Japanese culture and traditional sake-making should definitely visit.
Through the delicious sake, one can experience the unique environment and culture of Japan, making it a valuable experience.
