Sakurauzumaki Sake Brewery is a traditional sake brewery located in Matsuyama City, Ehime Prefecture.
 Founded in the fourth year of the Meiji era (1871), it became known by its current name in 1951.
 This brewery is known for its commitment to producing sake that pairs well with local cuisine, making it a beloved presence in the region.
 Notably, the brewery uses groundwater from Mount Takanawa for its brewing water and employs mostly locally sourced rice from Ehime Prefecture, earning a reputation for quality.
At Sakurauzumaki Sake Brewery, the belief that "sake is created through the blessings of heaven, earth, and people" is cherished, and this philosophy is reflected in their production process.
 The "Sakurauzumaki Nigori Sake," which is produced using a special brewing method, contains a significant amount of sediment and is crafted to be super sweet.
 This sake can be enjoyed chilled or on the rocks, making it versatile for various occasions.
 Additionally, its sweetness has made it particularly popular among women.
During my visit, I found that this sake paired exceptionally well with a delicious Japanese meal.
 The combination of the food and the drink further enhanced the overall experience.
 Sakurauzumaki Sake Brewery also participates in the Shikoku Pilgrimage World Heritage Registration Prayer Project and offers limited edition products under the name "Shikoku Meishu 88." Such initiatives reflect their sense of pride and commitment to contributing to the local community.
As the brewery does not have seating available, visitors can purchase products as souvenirs.
 This allows for enjoyment at home or selecting them as gifts for loved ones.
 Additionally, its location near the famous Botchan Train makes it easily accessible for tourists.
