    Overview

Yokouchi Shuzoten is located in Minami Alps City, Yamanashi Prefecture, and has been a traditional sake brewery since the Meiji era, specifically from 1872.
Nestled at the foot of Mount Kushigata, this brewery benefits from a rich natural environment, using groundwater that springs from the mountainside as its brewing water.
For about 150 years, it has continued to produce sake, being cherished by local people.
The brewery features a direct sales shop, where visitors can enjoy free tastings.
This opportunity to sample various sakes allows many to find their favorites and attracts numerous visitors.
As Yokouchi Shuzoten produces only sake of specific classifications, it offers a selection of high-quality Japanese sake, distinguished by a natural richness and flavor.
Under the brand name "Sakaki Masamune," Yokouchi Shuzoten offers a diverse range of Japanese sake.
Among these, the Honjozo and Junmai Namagyaru Shuzou wines have unique characteristics.
The Honjozo, presented in a 300ml bottle, is priced at 450 yen, and its well-balanced taste and refreshing aftertaste are compelling features.
Additionally, warming this Honjozo further enhances its richness.
On the other hand, the "Sakaki Masamune Junmai Namagyaru Shuzou" is offered at 580 yen, highlighting freshness and smoothness, making it especially recommended to be enjoyed chilled during the summer.
For example, pairing warmed sake allows one to appreciate the changes in flavor and aroma.
Moreover, combinations with locally sourced ingredients are suggested, adding an exciting element to the accompanying dishes.
At Yokouchi Shuzoten, visitors can experience not only high-quality sake crafted through Japanese culture and traditional techniques but also the stories and regional characteristics behind it.
It is certainly a place worth visiting.
