Overview

Kochi Shuzo is a sake brewery located in Katsukase, Ino Town, Agawa District, Kochi Prefecture, and is loved by locals and tourists alike.
Its operating hours are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM on weekdays, with Saturdays and Sundays being closed.
It's recommended to check the business hours before visiting.
The brewery was established in 1944 through the integration of 28 companies from Kochi City and Nago County.
After facing the challenge of water quality deterioration, it was able to find an ideal water source in the Niyodo River, eventually relocating to its current site.
This river is known for its beautiful blue color and is affectionately referred to as "Niyodo Blue.
"Kochi Shuzo produces a variety of Japanese sake, but particularly noteworthy is "Takiarashi Junmai Bari Karu.
" This sake has a rice polishing ratio of 70%, a sake meter value of +11.5, and an alcohol content of 15.5%.
While it may be perceived as dry at first glance, it surprisingly has a rich sweetness and a full-bodied flavor.
It can be enjoyed straight when chilled, and its clean finish has garnered support from many.
Additionally, a popular souvenir from Kochi is the region's unique liqueur.
Its large, round container resembles a pomelo, showcasing a charming design.
Despite its lower alcohol content, the liqueur delights with fruity flavors, and serving it chilled enhances its appeal.
Such sweet beverages have also received positive feedback from many customers as a delightful discovery.
At Kochi Shuzo, there is a deep understanding and passion for Japanese culture and local industries reflected in the sake they create.
With years of expertise and dedication behind their production, why not visit and experience their allure for yourself?
