Marugame is a coastal city in Kagawa Prefecture best known for Marugame Castle, one of Japan’s few castles with an original stone wall and wooden keep. The city is also famous for producing Marugame fans (uchiwa), a traditional handicraft. It offers scenic views of the Seto Inland Sea and access to cycling routes, including the Shimanami Kaido.
